As a Software Architect you will be expected to work on high-level architecture problems, low-level design and coding issues and everything in between. The ideal candidate has:

 

  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • 1+ years in a leadership or staff engineer role
  • 2+ years architecture or high level design role
  • Strong skills in Java SE 5.0 or greater or Java EE 5.0 or greater
  • Strong database and SQL experience, preferably with Oracle 10g or later
  • Proficiency in Object Oriented design and programming, and Design Patterns
  • Experience with Object Relational Mapping (ORM) tools such as Hibernate
  • Experience in mentoring Java Developers in design and/or development
  • Experience building and designing asynchronous, message driven systems with JMS
  • Expertise with enterprise grade build, continuous integration and artifact management systems, e.g. Maven, Hudson/Jenkins and Nexus
  • XML and related technologies such as XSD, JAXB, XSLT, etc
  • Experience building web services, especially using the REST style
  • Use of web container technologies such as Tomcat
  • Proficiency testing software using JUnit/TestNG and mocking, integration testing, regression testing and state coverage testing
  • Strong Linux/Unix skills

Position Summary:

The Information Security Associate Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of our company’s information security program companywide and remediates any open issues or concerns.  The individual must be self-motivated and follow through on task and projects presented to them.  The position is responsible for providing an excellent customer service experience.

Duties:

Day to day duties include but are not limited to the following:

–     Architects, plans, configures, installs, inventories, administers, designs, troubleshoots, patches, and supports information security

–   Assume ownership of and responsibility over information security operations, including planning, deployment, administration, monitoring, and incident response as assigned by management.

– Audits and assesses datacenters within company for compliance with various standards including internal.

–  Leads the technical aspects of internal security audits, investigations, and assessments

–  Performs security research, analysis, and design for all client computing systems , the voice and data infrastructure for IT as well as business units

– Work proactively with IT and business unit management with respect to strategic and tactical plans for information security and business resumption management.

–  Responsible for the prevention, detection, investigation, and response with respect to security threats and attacks.

– Architect formalized risk management and assessment for Information Security programs.

– Facilitates, manages, and performs security vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.

– Monitors trends in information technology and security that could have an impact on the security of the organization’s products, processes, infrastructure, or customers.

–  Provides expert level consultation and technical services on all aspects of Information Security

– Provide secure IT services to the business with flexibility in mind.

– Create the necessary plans for Information Security strategy, creating a roadmap for developing a more mature set of IT policies, processes, and procedures.

– Create a sustainable, compliant end user environment to facilitate growth, including COBIT, GLBA, HIPAA, ITIL, SOX, PCI, and other relevant regulatory or necessary certifications.

– Ensure security metrics are an integral part of the management of Information Security functions.

– Evaluates and prioritizes help desk support calls and affectively escalates and documents all support

– Create, update, and maintain documentation for responsible areas.   Participate in the on-call After Hours Support process, participate in Change Control

Processes:

  1.    Prepares and manages strategic/tactical roadmaps related to Information Security.
  2.    Manages vendor negotiation and contract management including preparation and review of RFPs,  recommendations for new vendors and equipment as required, identification of vendors to support remote office locations, negotiation of rates and SLA’s to insure adequate system support, and review of all vendor invoices for accuracy and completion of work
  3.    Assess Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management (PM) processes.
  4.    Assess current CSIRT or equivalent program, offer recommendations, and implement recommendations as approved.
  5.    Creates, updates, manages a control matrix mapping of relevant company specific requirements mapping such as HIPPA, PCI, etc. to a register of controls across the company for internal and external auditor and management use and reporting.
  6.    Manages outsourced or contract resources relating specifically for Information Security.

Job Requirements:

 

The ideal candidate should have:

  1.      4+ years of experience in information security, cloud security operations, or security compliance in a professional services, supervisor, or lead engineer (systems, network, security) role
  2.      Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security, and IT positions such as network engineer, firewall engineer, network security engineer.
  3.      Master’s degree or doctorate in field mathematics, telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer engineering, and computer science is preferred.
  4.      CISSP is required.  If not currently possessed, then should be in process with specific dates and times.
  5.      CISA, CISM, GIAC, CEH or other equivalent certifications are also preferred.

CCNP, CCSA, MCSE, or other security, network, systems engineering certifications are also preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs with assistance, and up to 15 lbs without assistance

Must be able to climb stairs regularly

Must be able to cable equipment in tight spaces and on hands and knees (i.e. under/behind desks)

Position operates in a temperature controlled office environment as well as temperature controlled datacenter environment
