The Derivatives Operations technology team is responsible for applications which service the needs of the Derivatives Operations group from trade capture through to final settlement with the client. The suite of applications covers trade processing, reconciliation, settlements and confirmations including Foreign Exchange, Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Products, Commodities and Equities all within a high volume, highly scalable distributed environment.

Responsibilities:

The role to lead the Salt Lake City Confirms & Settlements teams offers the chance to work in a global business in close partnership with Operations and Technology management across The Americas, Europe and Asia. As the complex Derivatives markets and products mature, there is a need to increase capacity, efficiency and control. This is an exciting time to be joining the global team.
The role will allow the individual to gain:
 -Team leadership experience including managing, building and growing a team
-Detailed understanding of the derivatives processing flows.
- Direct involvement with senior managers/users in Operations
- Exposure to C++/Java, MFC, messaging, Fitness, Industry Standards and Utilities (SWIFT, CLS, DTCC)
- Experience of building high performance applications and Workflow

The main duties of this role encompass team leadership, project and technical management and client service. The successful candidate will be the senior contact to the Salt Lake City Derivatives Operations team and will need to forge a strong working relationship and build an excellent understanding of the business flows.

He or She will also:
 -Provide thought leadership within the global team both functionally and technically
 -Manage several concurrent projects and deliver quality results to schedule whilst balancing the need to adapt rapidly to changes in business priority
 -Effectively support the production environment.
 -Manage and participate within global projects across several regions
 -Analyze new business requirements and determine appropriate technical solutions.
 -Coach and mentor more junior team members
 -Lead a team of up to 12 analyst/developers

Requirements:

As a member of a team supporting global clients, a successful candidate will be a self starter and highly motivated individual with strong analytical, technical, interpersonal skills and ability to quickly learn and adapt to dynamic business environment. Good communication skills are very important as role requires interaction with global client base and global technology team.
 -Strong team player with sense of ownership and initiative

 -Analyst / Developer with 6-8 years experience
 -Experience in software life cycle
 -Team leadership experience
 -Business knowledge in derivatives a plus

Benefits:

Salary Range: $125K base
