Responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of tools, systems and other third-party applications used in support of application development.  Works closely with multiple customers (both developers and business customers) providing support and consultation.  Collaborates with other technical experts to provide end-to-end services to a broad customer base.

Primary Responsibilities:
Performs software management activities including establishment, maintenance and support of tools, systems and other third-party applications used in support of application development.  Is responsible for project management related to these activities.

Analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents issues with tools, systems and other third-party applications used in support of application development to determine root causes.  Works with peers and vendors as needed to implement fixes and resolve issues.

Works with other technology service providers to plan, schedule, and test infrastructure updates that affect supported applications.

Collaborates with team members to develop and implement processes and procedures for tools, systems and other third-party applications used in support of application development, and is responsible for keeping documentation current.

Directly supports software development teams for tools, systems and other third-party applications used in support of application development, and instructs end users in the use of tools and processes.

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with installation, configuration and administration of tools, systems and other third-party applications used in support of application development.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with integrating third party applications in complex computing environments with stringent security requirements.
  • Strong experience with identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving moderate to complex technical problems.
  • Demonstrated practical experience with Linux and Windows operating system administration.
  • Demonstrated experience with installing, configuring and supporting tools used for application development like Subversion, ClearCase, TFS, Git, JIRA, Nexus, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and/or edit maintenance scripts for automating tasks in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Familiarity and experience with SQL and database concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and practically apply new concepts or principles which can be confirmed by experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within the organization.
  • Experience with applying and enforcing relevant standards and policies.

Education and Experience:

At least three years of experience serving as an administrator of tools, systems and other third-party applications used in support of application development. Project management experience is a plus.  A bachelor’s degree is required.  Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for some required qualifications.

WORK HOURS & CONDITIONS:

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

On-call support and overtime as required by work schedules or management.
