Our client is looking for a motivated individual with five years or more experience in the jewelry Industry. Knowledge in Gemstones, Pearls, Gold, Silver and Fashion Jewelry is preferred. Must have a strong analytic background and is proficient in Microsoft Excel and general business software. Candidates should have some major retail, chain or Internet experience and must be able to travel both domestically and internationally.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Excellent negotiating and deal making skills are key to this position.
2) Knowledge of mass marketing to the jewelry consumer.
3) Be able to deliver strategies, and seasonal plans that drive profit growth.
4) Understanding of gross margin analysis.
5) Understand how to read a P&L statement.
6) Price changes/markdowns
7) Financial Planning
Product assortment building and development.
9) Maintain and update OTB/recap sheets daily and monthly.
10) Analysis of all reports for re-orders purposes.
11) Overview of Reports with M/M and GMM
12) Excellent communication skills both externally and internally.
13) Manage and mentor both Associate Buyer and Assistant Buyer
14) Understand the Industry and competitive landscape
