Settlements Analyst/Developer with Global Financial Firm
Working for one of the most prestigious financial services firms in the world, the Derivative Settlement technology team is responsible for development and support of the core systems used by Derivative Operations for managing client invoices, notices and payments for global products including Foreign Exchange, Credit Derivatives, Interest Rate Products, Commodities, Equities and Loans. The team has members in Tokyo, Bangalore, London, New York and Salt Lake City.
Responsibilities:
The developer will be responsible for building and supporting the global applications. The processing engines are written in C++ and JAVA with Sybase and use significant messaging technology. The user interfaces are mostly Visual C++ with C# being introduced.
The role requires an individual with a strong technical background, who will also be capable of quickly learning about the business, products, and operational and system flows. There will be opportunities for user interaction, as well as working closely with global team members from the other locations.
As the complex Derivatives markets and products mature and commoditize, along with the need to increase capacity, efficiency and control this is an exciting time to be working in this area.
Requirements:
Applicants must be a strong team player, highly motivated and responsible.
Must be proficient in:
C++
Sybase
Perl or Shell scripting
Unix/Linux
Desired Skills:
JAVA
Windows platform (application interface with MS office such as MS Word)
C#
Any experience with derivative products
Benefits:
Salary Range: $80-90K
